The Enterprise Data Governance & Master Data Management Team (EDG/MDM) enables business success by working directly with business and technical areas to govern data at the enterprise level. Our team helps to ensure clear definition of data and understanding of data usability and trustworthiness. The team provides assurance that critical organizational data is centralized, accurate, and usable across the organization. We enjoy working in a cross-functional, close, and friendly team that is focused on delivering high end results in a supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

As part of a global team and reporting to Data & Analytics, as an experienced, motivated data professional, you are responsible for delivering data governance and master data services. The responsibilities of the EDG/MDM Analyst include activities across data governance disciplines:

  • Data Governance
    • Monitor and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance across the organization
    • Collaborate with data stewards, business partners, and IT partners on data definition, data quality, and master data management
    • Monitor adherence to data governance practices and provide facilitation and training to the data community
  • Data Quality
    • Collaborate with business and IT partners to define data quality requirements and thresholds to assess
    • Communicate data quality issues with stakeholders
    • Ensure monitoring of data quality rules
  • Master Data Management
    • Manage and maintain master data records, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems
    • Implement and enforce MDM best practices, processes and standards
    • Identify and resolve issues related to master data
What you bring to the team
  • A clear understanding of Data Governance and Master Data is an added advantage, but you would need to have a passion for data, have a healthy curiosity for all things data, and a good aptitude for data analysis with the ability to capture, organize, analyze, and distribute significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy in a timely manner and in accordance with procedures, quality standards, and rules
  • A results-oriented and customer focus mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex data findings in a structured and clear manner to a non-technical audience and various stakeholders
  • Experience in managing day-to-day requests via ticketing or case management system with a focus on master data management and data governance
  • Excellent PC skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suites and good foundation in data query using SQL and understanding the concept of relational databases besides keen on picking up new skills and tools along the way
