Indirect Procurement Category Analyst - Professional Services, HR, Marketing

The Indirect Procurement Category Analyst (IPCA) will be responsible for performing and maintaining indirect procurement initiatives that meet Univar Solutions Indirect Procurement objectives as directed by the Indirect Procurement Category Managers (IPCM).

This role will be instrumental in collaborating with all the functional areas in the organization to ensure sourcing initiatives and programs yield the expected results, suppliers and vendor perform at the agreed levels and ensures business continuity.

Lead indirect procurement sourcing and cost reduction activities, monitor and improve agreement utilization and reporting while providing the daily support needed by the internal and external partners.

Specifically, the Category Analyst will support the IPCM with the execution and implementation of the category strategy and related activities including but not limited to spend analysis (opportunity identification and compliance), market analysis, RFI / RFQ / RFP preparation and management, review and negotiate contracts and agreements, and supplier relationship management.

What You'll Do
  • Practical experience with negotiation of Professional Services contracts.
  • Spend analysis for opportunity identification and ensuring compliance.
  • Support and lead strategic sourcing events and negotiations as directed by the Category Manager.
  • Self-manage negotiations under supervision of the Category Manager.
  • Contract review and negotiation.
  • Supplier relationship management (commercial - quality) and other ad-hoc needs.
What You'll Need
  • At least five years of working experience in procurement / sourcing for Corporate Services categories (HR, Marketing, Finance, Professional services) at an analyst, or professional level.
  • Practical work experience of vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Vendor negotiation and purchasing skills.
  • Solid knowledge and real-world experience using Strategic Sourcing methodology.
  • Ability to execute, results orientation and drive with moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Advanced contract negotiation skills.
  • Advanced data analysis (Excel).
  • Certifications: ISM / APICS Procurement Preferred.
  • Great English communication skills.
