Cataloging Analyst

The Cataloging Analyst will be a technical expert concerning U.S., Canada and Mexico application information for automotive and commercial vehicles. This role involves managing accurate product and fitment data in line with industry standards, ensuring high-quality catalog content for both internal systems and external channels. The Analyst will research application data, identify OE part numbers, participate in the internal SKU launch and create Channel Partner data files. The delivery of accurate and detailed data to our channel partners for new and existing part numbers allows them to maximize sales and service levels to their customers. This individual will also manage digital asset creation and ongoing maintenance of this business process.

As a Cataloging Analyst you will:

  • Research OE and aftermarket part numbers; ensure accurate vehicle fitment (year, make, model, specs)
  • Create and maintain catalog records in compliance with ACES/PIES (or TecDoc) and internal standards.
  • Compile content and maintain database in the ACES and PIES formats as well as internal cataloging system (PDM) to track details including applications, specifications, images, cross-references, etc.
  • Manage supersedence, cross-references, and data mappings.
  • Audit and enhance catalog content: product attributes, digital assets, descriptions, cross-sells, etc.
  • Document and enhance new and existing work instructions to complete tasks.
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and user-reported issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Product Development, Marketing, Purchasing, QA, Sales, Customer Service.
  • Support catalog outputs for e-commerce platforms, systems, and customers.
  • Monitor catalog completeness metrics and propose process improvements.
  • Understand industry requirements, launch process, and communication of automotive aftermarket data.
  • Analyze competitive catalogs, cataloging activities, websites to ensure up to date interchange information.
  • Provide customer service team with technical and application assistance as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Well versed in automotive catalog standards (ACES – VCdb, PCdb, PAdb, QCdb, PIES, Images, Interchanges, Packaging)
  • Proficiency with database tools (Access, SQL)
