A leading utility solutions provider based in Ciudad Juárez is seeking an experienced Purchasing Lead to manage procurement and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will hold a BA or BS degree and have 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SAP and bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are essential. The Purchasing Lead will develop policies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Purchasing Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and purchase of goods and overseeing the supply chain process. You will be expected to ensure the timely delivery of goods while maintaining a high level of quality and develop and implement procedures, policies and systems to ensure the efficient procurement and delivery of goods.

A Day In The Life
  • Develop, implement, and manage procurement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships.
  • Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and cost objectives are met.
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement process, including ordering, receiving, and invoicing.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure material availability for current and future demand to be processed by the factory floor.
  • Coordinate daily and effective interaction with the Planning team, Customs Team and Shop Floor for proper material flow.
  • Communicate backordered materials and material shortages on a timely manner and communicate delivery dates of these backordered materials.
  • Coordinate and enforce Materials Key Metrics such as Premium Freight, Supplier Delivery and Inventory Levels.
What Will Help You Thrive in This Role
  • BA or BS degree.
  • Fully bilingual (English – Spanish).
  • At least 3-5 years of Procurement management or related experience in a manufacturing environment with vast knowledge on overseas supply.
  • SAP expert (Required).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Can manage people and processes well in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Has a sense of urgency and the creativity to overcome scheduling barriers.
  • History of documented, metric‑driven success.
  • Ability to trouble‑shoot issues and create innovative solutions to problems.
