Description

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is seeking to hire a Business Development Executive (BDE) to focus on new sales in Latin America. This role will be based in Mexico City, and will play a pivotal role in driving subscription revenue growth and market presence across the region.

This role will be responsible for the expansion of subscription services across a diverse range of customer segments, including corporates, governments, commercial banks, academia and intergovernmental institutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively research companies and individuals to identify new prospects via internet sources, lead tools, industry events, publications, and cold outreach
  • Identify key corporate accounts across Latin America, mapping relevant decision‑makers and building targeted outreach strategies
  • Collaborate with senior Business Development and Account Management colleagues to develop and execute strategic approaches for prospecting and lead qualification
  • Responsible for outbound and inbound activity with Latin America‑focused marketing campaigns
  • Develop a strong understanding of Oxford Economics’ subscription services, including economic forecasts, industry analysis, data, and models, to support product demos and client discussions
  • Coordinate and support logistics for business trips, client meetings, and industry conferences throughout Latin America
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and updates in the CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring data quality and follow‑through on outreach
  • Prepare regular sales reports to share pipeline updates with regional and global management

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in economics, business, finance, marketing, or a related field
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a strong plus
  • 3‑5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in professional services, research, or consulting
  • Familiarity with economic data, research tools, or consulting services is a strong advantage
  • Strong communication skills, including comfort with cold outreach and client engagement across multiple industries
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Confident with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
  • Comfortable working across different time zones and in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
