This position is open in City Place, San Jose, Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico or Brazil for our Nutrition Division. As the Head of Business Analytics & Customer Insights you will plays a key role in defining the strategic use of data and insights to accelerate EPD’s growth in Latin America. Acting as a trusted partner to Latin America leadership, this role promotes alignment and collaboration in analytics and customer understanding. Through the development and delivery of advanced analytics and actionable insights, the position will help build a data-driven organization, supporting strategic decision-making, driving growth, and optimizing investments across Abbott EPD’s portfolio in the region.
Act as a strategic enabler, contributing to short- and long-term growth by promoting the use of data and insights to inform business decisions across Latin America.
Work closely with senior leaders across Latin American markets to co-create strategies, prioritize initiatives, and embed insights into decision-making processes. Influence without authority through strong stakeholder engagement and credibility.
Serve as a catalyst for transformation, driving alignment and consistency in analytics and insights initiatives across countries. Inspire adoption of data-driven practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Promote the strategic use of customer and market insights to identify opportunities, anticipate trends, and support competitive positioning across diverse markets.
Empower local teams by facilitating access to best practices, tools, and methodologies. Encourage cross-country collaboration and capability building through shared learning and strategic guidance.
Guide the direction and prioritization of regional analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and effective resource utilization, without direct execution responsibilities.
Develop and implement a Data Infrastructure capable to support the business needs for today and tomorrow. Advocate for scalable, efficient data platforms and BI tools that support regional needs. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure systems are aligned with strategic objectives.
Champion data governance standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across markets, supporting reliable decision-making.
Encourage the adoption of predictive analytics, AI, and machine learning to unlock deeper insights and drive innovation across the region.
Ensure the development and use of meaningful dashboards and scorecards that provide visibility into business performance and customer metrics, enabling informed leadership decisions.
Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with senior stakeholders and support strategic alignment across countries.
Ability to connect data insights with business strategy, supporting both short- and long-term growth initiatives.
Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization to generate actionable insights.
Deep knowledge of customer behavior, segmentation, and market dynamics to inform commercial and marketing strategies.
Strong understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and portfolio management to guide investment decisions.
Proven ability to collaborate with senior regional and global leaders, influence decision-making, and align cross-functional priorities.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance across markets.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAP BI) and data architecture principles.
Skill in translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives tailored to executive audiences.
Ability to drive innovation in analytics and foster a data-driven culture across diverse teams and geographies.
Understanding of Latin American market nuances, regulatory environments, and cultural dynamics to ensure relevance and impact.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence across multicultural and cross-functional environments.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategy, analytics or business insights or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
10+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Proven track record in Business Analytics and Insights leading regional or global initiatives with strategic impact.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence across multicultural and cross-functional environments.
Advanced in English and Spanish.
Postgraduate degree desirable.
Portuguese is highly desirable.
