BPA Corporate Functions Sr Analyst

As a BPA Corporate Functions Sr Analyst supporting the Corporate Functions and Ops Team, you will be responsible for supporting the direct financial planning for the Legal & Compliance and HR/Comms organizations. The scope of this position includes monthly financial planning & analysis, support for month-end close activities, business partnering with Legal & Compliance and HR/Comms leaders and PMOs, and facilitating the different planning cycles (Target, QBR, forecast and Strategic Plan).

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids and legal matter reporting with no major accounting issues and adherence to month end close timelines.
  • Partner with Legal & Compliance and HR/Comms leaders and PMOs to support legal matter tracking, PO and IO spend monitoring and advise business on finance processes and accounting guidelines to ensure correct reporting.
  • Support the different planning cycles (Target, QBR, forecast and Strategic Plan) through data analysis, slide development and reports to drive business and financial decisions.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and automation to ensure team efficiency, develop or improve financial reports and processes in the area.
  • Support the Director BPA, Corporate Functions in deliverables, including template design, ad-hoc analysis, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities, capable of using data tools to drive decision‑making and managing large pools of data in Excel.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and curious with a solid ability to think creatively and develop new solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of SAP, BI, Power Point tools. Ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly.
  • Proactive communication style with the ability to build/foster relationships with business partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
