A leading IT solutions provider is looking for an AWS Cloud Operations Architect to spearhead efficiency initiatives and provide expert technical guidance within their Cloud Operations team. This 100% remote role involves handling critical customer issues, participating in customer onboarding, and managing infrastructure deployment through tools like Terraform. Qualifications include 4 years in cloud operations focused on AWS, strong Linux/Windows administration skills, and scripting expertise. This position demands excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• 4 years in cloud architecture and operations focused on AWS.
• Strong background in System Administration (Linux and Windows).
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation).
• Scripting skills (Python or Bash) with AWS SSM or Lambda experience.
• Familiarity with AWS managed services (ECS, EKS, Elastic Beanstalk).
• Knowledge of APM tools (New Relic, DataDog or Dynatrace).

As a Cloud Operations Architect you’ll spearhead efficiency initiatives within our Cloud Operations team, serving as the key escalation point providing expert technical guidance and hands‑on support to customers and team members, ensuring our customers' environments perform optimally.

This position is 100% remote in either the United States or Mexico.

What you’ll do:

• Act as a high‑level escalation point for critical customer issues
• Review and analyze Problem Management tickets and Root Cause Analysis reports
• Participate in on‑call rotation to address urgent customer needs

Customer Success

• Participate in the customer onboarding process
• Provide technical guidance for AWS infrastructure implementations
• Identify trends in monitoring tools and optimize alert thresholds with customers

Technical Operations

• Create and maintain Terraform modules for efficient infrastructure deployment
• Collaborate cross‑departmentally on customer environment improvements
• Manage the code that handles Missions backup patching and monitoring tools
• Review merge requests and provide Change Advisory Board approval
• Handle highly confidential customer information and environments
• Automate solutions for repetitive tasks
• Build and maintain a documentation library for internal tooling
• Identify improvement opportunities from customer alerts and implement action plans

What we expect of you:

• 4 years in cloud architecture and operations focused on AWS
• Strong background in System Administration (Linux and Windows)
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation)
• Scripting skills (Python or Bash) with AWS SSM or Lambda experience
• Familiarity with AWS managed services (ECS, EKS, Elastic Beanstalk)
• Knowledge of APM tools (New Relic, DataDog or Dynatrace)
• Excellent problem‑solving skills
• AWS Professional Certification (required within 90 days of hire)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
