Formación

Functions

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Plant Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining and leading project-engineering programs to keep the automated equipment in good operating conditions, through preventive and corrective maintenance. The role covers the proper function of automated equipment such as PLCs, robots, drives and sensors.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the correct operation of the control programs according to production necessities.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to control devices and avoid malfunctions or delays.
  • Maintain and solve problems of all Plant equipment, including PLCs, robots, drives, sensors and instrumentation.
  • Support manufacturing improvement through KOS and support a safe work environment.
  • Design and build small machines to improve production work and reduce Takt Time.
  • Advise and/or respond to automation problems on a 24-hour basis as needed.
  • Perform assignments established by supervisor to maintain plant equipment in good operating conditions.
  • Comply with Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
Qualifications
  • Education: Preference for Engineering Degree.
  • Experience: Preference 4 years’ work experience in manufacturing operation.
  • Formation: Preference for broad knowledge in automated control devices and technologies.
  • Preference Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications.
