Overview
The MRO Manager ensures the strategic and operational management of MRO resources to support continuous and efficient operation of the manufacturing plant. This role provides leadership over high-volume procurement, large-scale CAPEX projects, and construction-related initiatives. With strong knowledge of general construction and facility infrastructure, the MRO Manager partners closely with plant leadership, engineering, and maintenance teams to deliver critical projects on time and within budget while optimizing costs, supplier performance, and compliance.
Role Responsibilities
1 - MRO Inventory Management
- Ensure optimal stock levels of maintenance, repair, and operations supplies across the plant.
- Monitor usage trends and adjust inventory strategies to align with production schedules.
2 - Supplier and Contract Management
- Negotiate and manage contracts with MRO and construction-related suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance through KPIs, ensuring compliance with service agreements, construction standards, and safety requirements.
3 - Procurement and CAPEX Leadership
- Oversee purchasing activities for MRO, plant upgrades, and construction-related items.
- Manage high-volume, high-value CAPEX projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with company budgets and operational goals.
- Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Operations to forecast capital needs and monitor project spend.
Other Responsibilities
- Comply with safety, health, and environmental measures outlined in the Company’s RIT.
- Perform additional responsibilities as deemed necessary to support the manufacturing plant and organizational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in MRO management, CAPEX project oversight, and construction-related procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have knowledge of general construction and facility infrastructure.
- Strong experience managing high-value suppliers and contractors.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering large-scale plant or construction projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and CMMS.
- Knowledge of inventory management, CAPEX processes, and technical procurement.
- Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and compliance standards.
