Job summary
A leading company in environmental services is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide commissioning and after-sales support for ultrafiltration and membrane bioreactor systems. The ideal candidate will work independently, ensuring equipment compliance and performing maintenance while traveling within Italy and Europe. Strong technical skills, a high school diploma, and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance in an industrial environment.
- Ability to travel inside and outside of Italy, mainly Europe.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in local language and English.
Responsibilities
- Ensure EH&S compliance and monitor equipment performance.
- Conduct maintenance and calibration activities.
- Provide informal training on system operation.

Summary
As a Field Service Technician, you will safely provide commissioning and aftermarket support to a diverse group of industrial and municipal customers primarily focused, but not limited, on our ultrafiltration (UF) and membrane bioreactor (MBR) product line.
What you will be responsible for:
- EH&S compliance
- Review of customer plant installations and compare against Veolia reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
- Monitor equipment performance and operation
- Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on various treatment plant instrumentation
- Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, SDI, Fe, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
- Chemicals handling
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, process, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejector pumps, blowers, instrumentation, and automation hardware
- Perform installation & maintenance activities on various UF membrane, Filtration, Clarification, RO, EDI, EDR, ED, BPED, IX configurations
- Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system
- Provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed during service visits
- Support team on troubleshooting, repairs, and warranty issues resolution
- Coordinate operations, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment
- Evaluate field installations and recomment design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
- Technical training delivery when needed
- Site surveys
- Direct communication with project managers and customers on site
- Sales support when needed
- Support for costing of contracts
- Participate in team meetings to share best practices
What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):
- High school technical diploma (electrical background preferred) and 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
- Working experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting is preferred
- Ability to travel inside and outside of Italy (mainly Europe)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills in local language and in English
- Ability to meet all customer site requirements
