The ideal candidate will work independently, ensuring equipment compliance and performing maintenance while traveling within Italy and Europe. Strong technical skills, a high school diploma, and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

Job Description

Summary
As a Field Service Technician, you will safely provide commissioning and aftermarket support to a diverse group of industrial and municipal customers primarily focused, but not limited, on our ultrafiltration (UF) and membrane bioreactor (MBR) product line.
What you will be responsible for:

• EH&S compliance
• Review of customer plant installations and compare against Veolia reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
• Monitor equipment performance and operation
• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on various treatment plant instrumentation
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, SDI, Fe, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
• Chemicals handling
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, process, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejector pumps, blowers, instrumentation, and automation hardware
• Perform installation & maintenance activities on various UF membrane, Filtration, Clarification, RO, EDI, EDR, ED, BPED, IX configurations
• Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system
• Provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed during service visits
• Support team on troubleshooting, repairs, and warranty issues resolution
• Coordinate operations, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment
• Evaluate field installations and recomment design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
• Technical training delivery when needed
• Site surveys
• Direct communication with project managers and customers on site
• Sales support when needed
• Support for costing of contracts
• Participate in team meetings to share best practices

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):

• High school technical diploma (electrical background preferred) and 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Working experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting is preferred
• Ability to travel inside and outside of Italy (mainly Europe)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills in local language and in English
• Ability to meet all customer site requirements
