Contract Engineer
Job summary
A global engineering company in Milano seeks a Contract Engineer to support the Senior Contract Engineer during project execution. The role involves managing contractual relationships, preparing tools for project execution, and collaborating with project teams. Ideal candidates have a diploma or degree in engineering, economics, or law, and 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Fluency in English is required.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Manage contractual relationships with Clients and Partners.
- Prepare tools for project execution.
- Keep record of contractual obligations.
- Identify and prepare change orders.
Education
To cooperate with the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager during the Project Execution Phase in the management of the contractual relationships with Clients and Partners.
- To have full knowledge of the contract documents, including scope of work, queries and deviations submitted during the tendering phase;
- To have a clear knowledge of the breakdown of the contract price and the logic of the project time schedule;
- To assist the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager in preparing the tools to be used during the Project execution, in particular: the Contract diagram, the Contract induction support material, the contract execution plan, the contract risk analysis, the Contract Management report, etc.
- To assist the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager in preparing the draft of the communications concerning contractual issues;
- To assist the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager to keep record of the cases when client and partners do not fulfil their contractual obligations;
- To assist the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager, liaising with the Project Team Members, to identify and prepare promptly the change orders to be issued to the Client and the partners, using the Alert Cards system;
- To assist the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager in keeping updated the status of change orders;
- To assist the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager, liaising with the Project Team members, to analyze the negative change orders issued by Clients and Partners and prepare the required replies;
- To assist the PD/PM and the other Project Team members, in close coordination with the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager, in the analysis of topics that have any contractual aspects;
- To collaborate with the Senior Contract Engineer/Contract Manager in the Risk Analysis activities.
- Diploma or Degree in engineering, economics, law;
- 2/3 years experience in a similar role preferably in multinational and complex business context;
- Analytical approach;
