Job Title: Sales Manager

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports to: Director Business Development

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing business through direct sales solicitation, securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing tactical sales plans with a results-driven approach. The role focuses on achieving target results in primarily B2B segments (mainly MICE), contributing significantly to sales objectives.

  • Rome Marriott Park
  • Ortea Palace Hotel, Sicily – Autograph Collection
  • Delta by Marriott Giardini Naxos

The Sales Manager manages main strategic national and international sales activities within their market, including regional and local markets, aligned with the commercial plan. They maintain a solid network, manage an account portfolio, and develop action plans with a customer-centric approach.

Main Activities:
  • Identify new or existing markets/accounts aligning with property sales strategies
  • Develop sales action plans to generate business
  • Assess the needs and marketing activities of each market/account
  • Monitor account performance and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Maintain and develop RFPs with Marriott Global Sales Offices
  • Analyze market trends and competitors regularly
  • Participate in commercial meetings and translate hotel revenue analyses into sales activities
  • Plan and conduct office visits and site inspections to boost visibility and generate leads
  • Utilize internal reports and sales tools to generate new business
  • Organize and participate in familiarization trips, sales trips, and roadshows
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in the hotel industry or similar, preferably with international brands and in the MICE segment
  • Possession of a driver’s license
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and verbal; second language preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Diplomacy and effective management of relationships with clients and management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proactive in seeking new business opportunities
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to learning and development
