Azzedine Alaïa, a legendary master of cut, changed the look of fashion in the 80s with his sculptural silhouettes. Today, the Belgian Creative Director Pieter Mulier continues his pursuit of perfection and modernity, sharing the same technical skills and passion for arts. Shape-driven creations and iconic knits are sculpted on the body, crafting unique interpretations of the free beauty of women.

How will you make an impact? You will:

• Conduct creative research, drawing inspiration from the brand’s heritage, contemporary trends, lifestyle, and material innovations.
• Develop design proposals for medium and small leather goods, including sketches, technical drawings, and 3D mock-ups.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including merchandising and development, to align designs with brand vision and business objectives.
• Participate in material selection, including leathers, finishes, and hardware, ensuring alignment with the brand’s aesthetic and sustainability commitments.
• Oversee the development process with the Leather Goods developer, working closely with suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Participate in prototype reviews with development and industrial teams to ensure design requirements and quality standards are met in production.

How will you experience success with us?

• Previous robust experience in small/medium leather goods design within the luxury sector.
• Strong creative and technical skills, including proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D modeling software.
• Deep knowledge of leather types, construction techniques, and luxury finishes.
• Curiosity for new and sustainable materials.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers, tanneries, and artisans to bring designs to life.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability, ensuring designs meet market needs.
• A positive mindset, good communication skills, and ability to collaborate and value others’ perspectives.
• A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluent in Italian and English; proficiency in French is a plus.
