The Role

As System Administrator you'll be part of a team providing 16x7 or 24x7 remote services, responsible for managing critical systems across the Enterprise. The Enterprise Command Center supports all of Kyndryl Italia Innovation Services major platforms and technologies, including several environment Linux, Windows, Citrix, VMWare, Database, Middleware, Backup. System administrators also perform Security & Compliance activities on systems and subsystems such as OS patching and HC activities. We are seeking a candidate with proven familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as strong troubleshooting skills across various technologies.

• Knowledge in patching activities and system updates
• Understanding of the VMware ecosystem
• Competence in scripting for Linux and Windows environments, particularly for managing filesystems, monitoring processes, and diagnosing server-related issues

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Availability to work shift hours on a 16x7x365 or 24x7x365 basis
• Microsoft Windows Server and Linux server implementation and management
• VMware vSphere experience
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem determination
• Fluent Italian
• Good level of English
• Customer orientation, willingness to help, teamwork, problem determination, and problem-solving attitude
• Appreciated: 1–2 years of infrastructure service management experience
• Appreciated familiarity with Linux, Windows, and VMware
• Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems (ServiceNow, IBM Maximo, GLPI)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Automation experience
• Public/private cloud management, including migration from on-prem to cloud
• Microsoft Active Directory
• PowerShell and Bash scripting

Shift Timings

Two shifts are available - 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The afternoon shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) can be fully handled from home.
