A leading engineering firm in Milan seeks a Subcontract Specialist responsible for evaluating subcontractors' progress payments and negotiating contract terms. The ideal candidate has 2 to 5 years of experience in EPC projects and excellent negotiation skills. This role involves significant interaction with subcontractors, requiring meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as Subcontract Specialist in EPC Projects.
• Availability to travel to site if necessary for up to 1 month.

Mansioni

• Evaluate and accept Subcontractors Progress Payment Certificates.
• Negotiate new prices with Subcontractors.
• Analyze claims and define back charges to Subcontractors.
• Check final PPC issued by Subcontractors.
• Prepare Site Works Requests and order amendments.

Overview

Company: Tecnimont Services Spa

Reporting to the Subcontract Manager of Green Power and Assets Business Unit, the Subcontract Specialist is involved in all the activities relevant to evaluation and acceptance of the Subcontractors Progress Payment Certificates (PPCs), together with the correspondence issued during the Site works.

Duties and responsibilities

• To be aware of the full contract issued to the Subcontractors, and relevant clauses and attachments
• To learn and to apply the company’s procedure
• To receive and to reply to the Subcontractors’ letters
• To analyze, to negotiate and to agree new prices
• To analyze claims received by Subcontractors
• To define back charges to Subcontractors
• To analyze the amounts required by Subcontractors, based on evidence as defined by the contract
• To check the final PPC issued by Subcontractors
• To issue the Site Works Requests (SWR) negotiating the final price and delivery time required by Subcontractors
• To prepare and to issue the order amendments in case of additional works
• To support the Project Control Manager in preparing the progress data
• To support the Contract Manager in preparing change orders and claims

Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as Subcontract Specialist in EPC Projects
• The work is relevant to Head Office position, but in case of necessities for solving some Site critical issue, it is required availability to missions at Site of max 1 month, if necessary.
