Description Overview

The Senior Supply & Logistic Specialist is responsible for all inventory-related activities to ensure that inventory is available to sell. The scope of the role entails stock management and is responsible for overseeing the logistics operations of third-party logistics providers, both warehousing and transportation and as such play a pivotal role in managing the movement of goods and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

The Senior Supply & Logistic Specialist acts as a bridge between (Central) Perrigo and the 3PL providers, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and coordination.

Works closely with customers to understand their unique requirements, develop tailored logistics solutions and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance. A 3PL manager acts as a pivotal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the smooth flow of information, goods, and services.

Scope of the Role
  • Stock management: Maintaining inventory accuracy, ensure optimal inventory utilization, explore options to optimize inventory levels
  • Inventory risk mitigation: Be a driving force to reduce financial and quality risks to our inventory and assuring all related activities are compliant with Perrigo standards.
  • Support the Central Planning Team: Initiate inventory optimization opportunities, engage in S&OE meetings
  • Support local commercial activities: Local OOS reporting, NPD process support, assortment life cycle support, artwork updates, master data support, S&OP participation
  • Efficiency and Cost Savings: streamline logistics operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement cost-saving measures; drive operational efficiency and reduce overall logistics costs by for example but not exclusively optimizing transportation routes, optimizing minima order quantities and delivery frequency with customers, warehouse utilization and inventory management.
  • Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: ensure the process for timely deliveries, accurate order fulfilment, and effective communication with customers; align logistics operations with customer expectations.
  • Risk Mitigation: proactively identify potential hazards and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions, delays and compliancy issues and ensure business continuity.
  • Scalability and Flexibility: adapt to changing demands, scale operations and leverage technology to meet evolving customer needs and market developments.
  • Sustainability: proactively identify opportunities for CO2 emission reduction and align with 3PL providers expectations; monitor progress of 3PL providers towards achieving applicable sustainability goals; ensure that CO2 emission reduction targets imposed by regulatory bodies, customers and Perrigo are achieved.
Experience Required
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • 4+ years experience in Logistics and Supply planning, 3PL-Management, preferably from Consumer Self-Care, FMCG industry
  • Strong Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to provide actionable and well-supported recommendations
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM and order entry
