Overview

Senior Software Developer – Rome (hybrid). Twice a week in the office. Salary: €60,000-€70,000. Italian & English Speaking required.

We are a growing Telecoms business in Rome with over 25 years in the market, serving 500+ clients. The team focuses on security and telecoms projects across two strands: project management and the Engineering & Tech side, where this role sits.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with experience in API-first architecture, UI optimization, SaaS implementations and cloud-based systems. You will join a growing team that continues to onboard new projects.

Tech Stack (not all required):

• PHP, Laravel, Node, Express, NestJS
• JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue
• AWS or GCP, REST APIs, PostgreSQL
• Prometheus, CI/CD, Network Programming

Role Responsibilities

• Backend: 2–3 years as a Developer specializing in PHP / Node.
• Frontend: 12–18 months of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript or Vue.
• Cloud: Experience working in a Cloud environment, ideally AWS or GCP.
• Network Programming: not essential; ideally some exposure in Telecoms or with NP.
• Self-starter with the ability to pick up various tasks.
• Desire to learn new technologies and expand skillset.
• Happy in a client-facing role with good stakeholder management skills.
• Ambitions (or experience) to lead / mentor teams in the future.
• Comfortable supporting the wider team and other developers.
• Good Italian & English language skills.

Salary : €60,000-€70,000

Office Working : Twice a week in Rome-based office.
