A leading fitness solutions company located in Italy is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to ensure data pipeline quality and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture with 7-10 years of experience. Responsibilities include developing data sets and optimizing database systems. A Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering is required, alongside knowledge of SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on health and fitness.

• 7 to 10 years’ experience in building and maintaining data platform architectures.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment managing own tasks.
• Understanding of Cyber risk, information security & Cyber security topics.

Your Role

We are looking for a brilliant Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for guaranteeing the quality and performance of data pipelines and building data sets and applications to support business functions. You will also be responsible for data reliability and quality.

Your Impact

• Combine raw information from different sources
• Develop data sets and pipelines
• Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications
• Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions
• Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
• Guarantee and improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements
• Optimize new and current database systems

About You

Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down-to‑earth and ethical. You can be resourceful and responsive in a fast‑paced environment that requires a high degree of customer satisfaction and confidence.

What you should bring:

• MSc or Ph.D. Degree in Engineering or a similar field
• Experience in complex data architecture design, implementation and maintenance
• 7 to 10 years’ experience in building and maintaining data platform architectures
• Knowledge of ETL, ELT and Data Pipeline Tools
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform: Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and Big Query
• Knowledge of SQL and Python
• Knowledge of Oracle DB and Microsoft Power BI or other reporting and dashboarding tools would be a plus
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional environment with strong accountability managing own tasks
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Proficiency in both written and oral English
• Role related Understanding of Cyber risk, information security & Cyber security topics
