Overview

Cash Construction is hiring a central TX Project Scheduler / Document Control. As a Project Scheduler, you will oversee the resource management of in‑house and sub‑contracted field crews, assist the project manager with schedule planning, coordinate tasks, and monitor timelines of scheduled assignments. As a Document Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the document control system, ensuring all documents are accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. The role includes overseeing the documentation process from creation to archiving, managing document control staff, and ensuring all departments adhere to the document control procedures.

Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position, up to 25% of the time, encompassing work sites in the assigned project area, covering a 90‑mile radius, and may include some overnight travel.

Responsibilities
  • Manage resource management schedules for all assigned projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a scheduling management system.
  • Identify process efficiencies and create and manage new processes to drive efficiencies within project schedules.
  • Review progressed schedules against schedule deadlines.
  • Participate in meetings with senior operations management, peers and/or customers.
  • Participate in estimating and bidding projects, contract negotiations, and change order preparation.
  • Identify potential scheduling delays and facilitate remedial action.
  • Track and report on the progress of project activities.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, team members, and other stakeholders to gather information and update schedules.
  • Work independently on complex assignments to establish the Proposal or Project Baseline Schedule.
  • Lead and execute Project Planning and Execution Planning Sessions.
  • Lead and execute Logic Development, Schedule Updates and Forecasting.
  • Ensure client Project Controls and Reporting specifications and requirements are met per contract.
  • Support Project Management with project reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain document control systems and processes.
  • Ensure documents are correctly numbered, titled, filed, and archived.
  • Manage the distribution and accessibility of documents to relevant parties.
  • Oversee the review, approval, and distribution of documents.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity of the document control system.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure document control needs are met.
  • Handle requests for document retrieval and reproduction.
  • Maintain a log of all document changes and ensure that all versions are properly tracked.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or P6; expert (MS Project preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5‑10 years’ experience as a Project Scheduler in a related industry.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience supporting heavy civil and utilities construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of document control software and systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to document control.
