A prominent eyewear company based in Italy is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal support for contracts, commercial laws, and regulatory matters across the EMEA region. The candidate will draft, review, and negotiate sourcing and procurement contracts, as well as provide legal advice on medical devices and regulatory issues. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in commercial law and is a full-time mid-senior level position. Your Role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel who will provide support for contracts, commercial laws, regulatory matters and legal advice across the EMEA region and globally (global contracts negotiated from HQ). The resource will be mainly dedicated to serving the following teams :

Sourcing Team & Indirect Procurement teams, R&D Frames team – drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial, procurement, logistics, services contracts, NDAs and related documents.

R&D / Engineering / Quality team – providing legal advice on regulatory matters (medical devices, PPE, clinical trials / investigations, eHealth, telemedicine, etc.), H&S, environmental matters, and drafting related contracts and documents.

The candidate will be based in Agordo offices and shall collaborate with colleagues in the Operations legal team located in Agordo, Milano and Paris.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review, draft and negotiate sourcing and procurement contracts, services and purchasing agreements, logistics / global forwarding services, and other commercial contracts.
  • Review, draft and negotiate research & development agreements, collaboration agreements, and related documents.
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory matters and medicines-related issues, review, draft, negotiate agreements and other documentation in the regulatory area.
  • Provide general support to the Ops legal team and internal clients on various legal matters, support in organizing and providing trainings, drafting templates, intercompany agreements, NDAs, etc.
Main Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial law, with basic expertise in regulatory matters and demonstrated experience in sourcing and procurement contracts.
  • Knowledge of medical devices regulation and experience in a life science practice area at a law firm is a strong plus.
