Finance Country Manager
Summary
As a member of the Country Management Team, the Finance Manager actively contributes with the General Manager and the Management Team to achieve the short and long-term goals for the company.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate, influence, and motivate the Management Team to achieve financial targets and build long-term strategic plans.
- Manage, coach, and guide the local Finance team to achieve objectives.
- Plan and organize the Finance function, considering both Group and Local requirements.
- Safeguard the company’s financial assets and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.
- Identify and provide corrective actions for adverse situations; make recommendations and present information for accurate decision-making.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of macro-objectives within the Finance community at the local level.
- Promote effective collaboration between the Finance team and other company functions.
Finance management
- Organize and manage accounting and data processing functions for reliable, timely administration and reporting in compliance with statutory, fiscal, and group requirements.
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures to safeguard assets, including debtor management, stock control, cash management, trade creditors, fixed assets, and compliance with accounting principles.
- Assist the General Manager with financial and business-related matters, supporting decision-making with relevant data.
- Communicate financial goals and ensure accountability; work with management on cost control and reduction strategies.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting, consolidating budgets, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
- Manage financing needs and optimize cash flow in coordination with Group treasury.
- Promote the effective use of MRP and ERP systems.
- Influence pricing strategies and align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Operations to evaluate capital expenditure, review IRR, and minimize spending risks through supplier management.
Relevant key experiences
- People leadership experience with the ability to work across different styles and cultures.
- Experience leading change activities within a team.
- Proven track record in a Finance role, preferably with experience in multinational and large local food industries.
