Job Description

Job Purpose

The role of the Data Analyst requires the maintenance and integration of both static and dynamic data related to equity securities listed on global stock exchanges and of related Entities, including all possible corporate actions and the types of dividends distributed.

This role calls for accuracy and a solid understanding of all types of equity or capital-participation financial instruments. Additionally, knowledge of national and international taxation related to the financial securities under analysis is required. The analyst is also responsible for managing the entity database, ensuring proper codification and the corporate group structure. A proactive attitude towards client interaction, strong problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Track all life cycle events of financial instruments (such as dividends, corporate actions, etc.) for the full set of securities listed on designated stock exchanges.
• Collect company and security data requested by clients, ensure complete coverage of corporate groups, and monitor Initial Public Offerings (IPOs)
• Acquire financial data for issuers and securities from relevant markets
• Manage both ordinary and extraordinary corporate actions involving issuers.
• Interact occasionally with companies (e.g., investor relations) to acquire and update corporate information
• Deliver client support via the help desk, assisting with the content monitored and implemented within internal systems
• Analyze, monitor, and maintain specific tax-related content concerning the securities under review

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an economic field
• Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
• Strong collaboration skills – ability to navigate cross functional teams to deliver on shared objectives
• Must have the ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization
• Understanding of how data is stored and flows through systems and databases
• Proficiency in English and Italian (spoken and written)
• Experience in querying and retrieving data from structured databases (e.g. SQL) and in using programming languages such as Python
