The Energy CENTS Coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Saint Paul, MN. Our mission is to promote affordable utility service for low- and fixed-income Minnesotans through advocacy, bill payment and energy conservation assistance programs.

Primary Duties

The Weatherization Program Specialist will provide administrative and program support for energy conservation programs administered by ECC. The Program Specialist reports to the Program Director. The Program Director will assign tasks to the Program Specialist including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Entering and processing applications and relevant data
  • Processing incoming and outgoing weekly and monthly database files
  • Answering phones and providing accurate program information and appropriate referrals
  • Perform program outreach such as calls, mailings, maintaining referral partnerships and special projects
  • Research records for various information as requested.
  • Other program-related tasks as assigned
Experience
Required
  • Ability to enter program data accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office suite (Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Database end-user experience required
  • Ability to perform database updates, manage database security, and database development experience preferred
  • Reliability and commitment to work an established weekly schedule
  • Excellent oral communication skills and desire to work with people
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong commitment to improving the lives of low-income people, experience in a nonprofit environment required
  • Knowledge of low-income energy assistance programs
Preferred
  • Familiarity with additional low-income financial assistance programs preferred
  • Familiarity with Home Energy Efficiency and weatherization preferred
