Job summary

A leading port facility in Indonesia is seeking a security officer to assist in implementing and maintaining the Port Facility Security Plan. Responsibilities include monitoring daily operations, conducting security risk assessments, and coordinating with government authorities. A Diploma III or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with at least 2 years of experience. Job description
Responsibilities Include
  • Assist the PFSO in implementing and maintaining the Port Facility Security Plan (Procedures, instructions, checklists)
  • Monitor daily security operations
  • Support the preparation, review and updating of PFSP based on security assessment, incident reports, audit findings, and regulatory changes
  • Assist in conducting formal security risk assessment and vulnerability assessment facility, berth, critical asset
  • Help coordinate communication during incidents
  • Maintain up-to-date logs of incidents, near misses, non-conformities, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Support communication and coordination with government authorities, coast guard, customs, immigration, police for security matters affecting the port
Qualifications
  • Minimum education: Diploma III or bachelor's degree majoring on Port/transportation management or maritime
  • Strong and adequate physical condition
  • Proficient in port management systems, yard planning, coordination skills, custom clearance procedure, export-import documentation, data entry system, port safety regulations, operational management skills
  • Able to work both in a team and individually
  • Willing to work in shifts and available for on-call duty outside normal working hours
  • English proficiency and computer literacy (especially Ms Excel)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience in transportation logistic, maritime transport, automotive logistics, automotive manufacture, shipping line or agencies or port terminal operations
  • License in Basic Safety Training (BST) - STCW standard, ISPS Code Awareness/Port Facility Security Training, Occupational Health and Safety Certification (K3), custom and Export-Import handling certificate
  • Holder of a valid SIM A and SIM C (driver's license), Port Expert Training, Freight Forwarder Training
