We are partnering with a rapidly growing renewable energy company to hire a VP / Manager of Business Development (Off-Grid). This role will lead commercial strategy and execution to secure large‑scale solar and hybrid renewable projects for mining companies across Indonesia.

This is a senior, market-facing role combining strategic leadership, high‑value B2B deal execution, and C‑level relationship management, with responsibility for building a strong commercial pipeline and closing complex transactions.

About the Role

The role involves developing and executing go‑to‑market strategies for the mining sector, building strong value propositions and managing a USD 50–100 M annual project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for the mining sector, building strong value propositions and managing a USD 50–100 M annual project pipeline.
  • Drive lead generation and sales alignment through industry networks, partnerships, and close collaboration with sales, technical, legal, and finance teams.
  • Lead end‑to‑end deal execution, managing relationships with C‑level decision makers and overseeing commercial processes (LOI, term sheet, PPA/EPC/IPP).
  • Design and lead commercial campaigns and partnerships, while building, coaching, and managing a high‑performing commercial/marketing support team and budget.
  • Monitor performance and reporting, tracking pipeline health, deal probability, revenue forecasts, and identifying growth opportunities through data‑driven insights.
Must Haves
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial roles, ideally within mining, energy, or large CAPEX projects.
  • Proven initiatives to drive and close projects.
  • Decent English communication skill.
  • Excellent negotiation and executive‑level communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote sites.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and professional‑level English.
