SD Guthrie International is looking for a dynamic Trading Manager to lead and optimize trading strategies for our Palm & Laurics Desk, based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role is pivotal in managing financial and commodity risk, supporting trading activities, and driving product flexibility across a multi-country landscape. You will lead a team of professionals and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful trading outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of advanced market trend analysis, trading book strategies and to support confident trading and hedging decisions.

Coordinate trading efforts across multiple risk management desks to identify and execute joint product optimizations and swap opportunities.

Formulate and monetize multi-country and multi-commodity trading views using historical data, quantitative insights, and forward-looking analysis.

Drive performance and capability development within the trading team, including hiring, coaching, and managing talent in a fast-paced regulatory and business environment.

Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure team alignment with current and future organizational needs.

Perform other duties as required to support business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven track record in managing a trading book (futures experience is a plus) and experience in managing Palm Oil & Lauric assets.

Demonstrated success in achieving profit targets and resolving performance gaps.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in commodity trading or financial risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role (not compulsory).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex and sometimes contradictory information.

Deep understanding of market dynamics and business strategy to drive organizational goals.

Skilled in navigating complex organizational structures and stakeholder relationships.

Highly collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to build systematic trading capabilities.
