A leading mining company in Jakarta Utara is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to oversee supply chain activities. You will manage procurement for critical operational materials, ensuring timely availability and coordination with site teams. With a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years experience in procurement within the mining sector, you'll handle vendor performance and manage operational reports. This role demands strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Business Management, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement and supply chain, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector with direct site exposure.
Strong hands‑on experience in end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes, including PR validation, vendor sourcing, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and goods receiving.
Good understanding of technical materials such as heavy equipment spare parts, lubricants, safety equipment (PPE), and general site consumables.
Proven experience in daily coordination and communication with site teams, including workshop, plant, logistics, and warehouse personnel.
Solid knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control, including FIFO, safety stock, and reorder point management.
Able to work in a fast-paced site environment, respond quickly to operational issues, and manage multiple priorities.
Plan, control, and supervise procurement activities for mining operations, ensuring timely availability of critical operational materials.
Conduct daily coordination (“tektokan”) with site teams to align on material requirements, priorities, stock conditions, and urgent operational needs.
Actively communicate with workshop, plant, logistics, and warehouse teams to validate technical specifications and ensure procurement accuracy.
Monitor and control delivery timelines, shipment progress, and onsite receiving, addressing delays or discrepancies promptly.
Ensure sufficient warehouse stock levels for essential and fast‑moving items through close coordination with inventory control.
Supervise and evaluate vendor performance related to delivery reliability, quality, responsiveness, and cost effectiveness.
Serve as the key communication bridge between site operations and Head Office for daily procurement and supply chain updates.
Maintain complete and accurate procurement documentation (PR, PO, GR, delivery notes) and provide regular operational reports.
Support smooth daily site operations by ensuring procurement activities are responsive, well‑coordinated, and aligned with operational priorities.
