Job description

Our client, a leading artisan bakery in Indonesia, is looking for a creative and driven Social Media & Content Specialist to join their team.

The Social Media and Content Specialist is responsible for owning the brand's daily voice and storytelling across all social media channels. This role plans, creates, and executes content that strengthens brand presence, builds audience engagement, and supports marketing campaigns through clear messaging, creative storytelling, and consistent execution. This role is not limited to publishing content; it is responsible for what the brand says, how it says it, and why it says it on social platforms.

Note: A social media/content portfolio must be submitted with your application that displays your creativity, innovation, and attention to detail. (All images will be checked to ensure ownership)

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communication, Media, Design, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social media content planning, copywriting, or content creation.
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating strong copywriting and social storytelling skills.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with a clear sense of brand voice.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms and content formats.
  • Ability to plan and manage content calendars.
  • Basic photo and video editing skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe tools and/or CapCut.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and platform analytics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with short-form video platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of paid social or boosted content (preferred).
  • Experience working with creators or influencers (preferred).
  • Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals (preferred).
Key Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day management of all social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Plan and manage monthly content calendars aligned with brand direction and campaign goals.
  • Publish, schedule, and monitor content across platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
  • Maintain an active and timely presence through comments, messages, and community interactions.
  • Stay up to date with platform updates, trends, formats, and best practices.
  • Own and maintain the brand's tone of voice across all social media channels.
  • Write clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for social posts and captions, stories and short‑form content, campaign messaging and launches.
  • Provide input and ideas on messaging, angles, and storytelling, in addition to execution.
  • Create and edit basic photo and video content for social media.
  • Collaborate with videographers, photographers, and graphic designers on content execution.
  • Support campaign concepts with strong social‑first storytelling ideas.
  • Ensure all published content follows brand guidelines and visual standards.
  • Actively monitor social conversations, trends, and cultural moments relevant to the brand.
  • Provide input on content ideas, formats, and opportunities based on community behavior.
  • Flag opportunities for real‑time or reactive content when relevant.
  • Track and analyse content performance using platform insights and analytics tools.
  • Monitor key metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth.
  • Provide regular performance summaries and actionable recommendations to improve content effectiveness.
