Job description

Highly capable SAP S/4HANA Logistics Manager to support the end-to-end transformation of logistics and supply chain processes in a retail environment powered by SAP S/4HANA RISE. This role will focus on the implementation and optimization of key logistics modules including MM, SD, LE, and EWM, with a strong emphasis on retail-specific scenarios, cross-system integrations, and clean core extensibility. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on expertise in retail logistics operations, along with the ability to work collaboratively across IT and business teams to drive operational efficiency, inventory transparency, and store-level execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of SAP logistics modules—Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
• Gather, analyze, and translate retail logistics requirements into scalable SAP solutions across procurement, inventory management, store replenishment, distribution, and returns.
• Align technical designs with SAP Clean Core strategy, utilizing SAP BTP and in‑app extensibility tools for enhancements and integrations.
• Design and manage integrations with key retail platforms, including POS systems, eCommerce channels, WMS/TMS, and third‑party logistics providers, ensuring end‑to‑end visibility and accuracy.
• Support data migration activities covering article master, site master, vendor/customer master, and initial stock loads.
• Contribute to project delivery across all phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, go‑live, and hypercare.
• Investigate and resolve logistics‑related issues, recommend process improvements, and contribute to long‑term sustainability of the solution.
• Ensure compliance with retail logistics best practices, focusing on stock accuracy, order fulfillment SLAs, and supplier collaboration.
• Design and deliver reporting solutions, KPIs, and embedded analytics that provide actionable insights for supply chain and operations teams.
• Collaborate in an agile environment, working closely with functional consultants, developers, business users, and integration partners.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA logistics consulting, with at least one full lifecycle implementation in a retail industry environment.
• Deep functional knowledge of SAP MM, SD, LE, and EWM, with a focus on retail supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of store logistics, vendor consignment, warehouse execution, and last‑mile delivery processes.
• Experience in integrating SAP logistics modules with external systems such as POS, WMS/TMS, and 3PL platforms.
• Familiarity with retail master data structures, including article/site master and business partner data.
• Capability to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, configuration, and test plans.
• Strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and experience in cross‑functional retail transformation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field; SAP logistics certifications are an advantage.
