About The Role

The Sales Strategy Manager [Insights and Special Projects] acts as the key analytical and project management hub for the sales organization. This role focuses on transforming complex sales data and field intelligence into strategic, actionable insights that support the Head of Sales and the sales team in meeting company targets. As a strategic contributor, the role involves conducting sales performance analysis, developing market and merchant insights, optimizing sales processes, and supporting GoFood's go-to-market initiatives. Additionally, serving as the Project Management Office (PMO) for the sales cadence, this role ensures systematic resolution of sales challenges across all strategic activities involving relevant stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  1. Develop regular comprehensive reports on sales and merchant performance, providing insights and strategic action plans for the Head of Sales.
  2. Serve as the PMO for the sales regular cadence (weekly/monthly, across segments): coordinate and facilitate meetings, prepare data-driven decks, drive cross-functional collaboration, document minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
  3. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to support sales decisions, including competitive landscape, market share, merchant and segment behavior, and user behavior.
  4. Develop tools and processes to support sales initiatives and decision-making, such as performance evaluation systems, merchant reviews, forecasting models, and market share trackers.
  5. Assist in setting sales targets, including product mix, volume, and market share, segmented by merchant category.
  6. Contribute to executing sales strategies by conducting periodic reviews and providing insights to stakeholders.

What You Will Need

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in strategy-related roles within fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, capable of handling complex and ambiguous problems with minimal guidance.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Looker Studio, or similar platforms for data analysis and reporting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making skills, from descriptive analysis to complex financial modeling.
  • Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
