Job summary

A leading chemical engineering company is seeking a Sales Engineer to enhance sales of Filter Press and Filter Plates in the palm oil, mining, and wastewater treatment markets in Indonesia. The role involves planning customer visits, making follow-up calls, and preparing sales quotations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and experience in industrial sales, preferably in pumps or filtration systems. Strong communication skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary. This role allows for work from home flexibility.

Qualifications

Job description

To expand sales of Filter Press and Filter Plates in the Palm Oil Industry, Mining industry and Wastewater Treatment Market in Indonesia.

Job Title: Sales Engineer / Sales Representative (Indonesia)

Department: Sales Department

Reporting To: Sales Manager (Thailand – Head Office)

Work Location: Work from Home (Indonesia)

Working Hours: 8.00 am. to 5.00 pm. ( Monday to Saturday )

Market Coverage: Indonesia

The position holder has the following responsibilities and authority:

Plan and visit a target customers for product presentation and relationship building.

Make regular customer follow-up calls (at least 5 calls per week).

Prepare and submit at least 2 quotations per week for customer consideration.

Prepare a weekly sales report after each customer meeting or discussion, and submit it to Head Office (Thailand).

Attend at least one weekly online meeting with the Thailand Head Office to report progress and activities.

Basic Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Chemistry

Experience

Experience in industrial sales or technical sales related to pumps, valves, filters, filtration systems, or palm oil refineries is required.

Candidates with experience in Palm Oil Mills, Palm Oil Refineries, or Filtration Systems will be given special consideration.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Personal Attributes

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively

Language

Conversational English (spoken and written) (Fluency is not required)

Requirements

Have a valid driving license

Able to travel within Indonesia by plane or car

Willing to visit customer sites regularly

Training

Product training will be provided by the company.
