Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and improve quality frameworks to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and mentor the QC team and supervisor, ensuring adherence to quality standards and effective control practices through guidance and training.
• Conduct comprehensive quality audits at all production stages and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance data daily and weekly, oversee production to ensure standards compliance, address deviations, and report findings with improvement recommendations to the GM of Operations.
• Investigate quality issues, lead cross‑functional teams to develop corrective and preventive actions, and analyze daily reports to maintain high standards in coconut shell briquette charcoal production.
• Establish and update SOPs and quality control documents to ensure consistency, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Production Manager and Chief Engineer to integrate quality standards into manufacturing and support continuous improvements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and projects, introducing new technologies and methods to enhance product quality and efficiency in charcoal briquette production.
• Oversee and resolve customer complaints by investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records of quality performance, audits, and corrective actions for traceability and compliance.
• Collaborate with T&TD Coordinator to develop and deliver training on quality standards, boosting team skills and compliance.
• Partner with production and engineering to test and validate new processes and materials before implementation.
• Regularly review industry best practices and competitor performance to set and adjust quality targets, while ensuring the company complies with all relevant quality and safety regulations in charcoal production.
• Prepare and present detailed quality performance reports to the GM of Operations, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Senior Purchasing and SC&L Manager to ensure raw materials meet quality standards through regular evaluations.
• Facilitate cross‑functional meetings, mentor future leaders, and align quality objectives with overall operational strategies and organizational goals.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment to guarantee accurate measurement and testing results.
• Contribute to annual management reviews by presenting quality data and recommending strategic initiatives aligned with company goals.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of the quality management system, updating policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management).
• Minimum 5 years in production management or related manufacturing roles, preferably in charcoal briquette or similar industries.
• Proficient in ISO 9001 implementation and compliance.
• Familiar with QMS, SPC, and Six Sigma.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and data tools (e.g., Minitab, Power BI, SAP, SPSS).
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency preferred.
• ISO 9001 Auditor or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
• Willing to be based in Karanganyar.
