About the role

This full-time Project Logistics Hub Specialist role is a unique opportunity to join the dynamic team at Kuehne + Nagel in Sorong, West Papua, Indonesia. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of project-based logistics operations, playing a pivotal role in supporting the company's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

Manage and execute end-to-end inbound, outbound, and inventory control for the Sorong project hub.

Oversee daily hub activities including:

• Cargo receiving
• Yard operations (including breakbulk cargo in the junk yard)
• Documentation flow
• Storage planning and handling

Ensure vendor performance meets operational and safety expectations.

Support cross-dock operations and ensure smooth cargo flow through the hub.

Monitor vessel-related activity.

Maintain real-time updates for cargo status, stock levels, and operational reports.

Verify vendor documentation, completion of checklists, and timely submission of required records.

Ensure all hub processes comply with quality standards.

Serve as a key liaison between operations, vendors, trucking partners, and internal customers.

Represent professionally onsite, maintaining strong oversight of vendor performance and behavior.

Work closely with internal teams on planning, scheduling, service expectations, and performance updates.

What we’re looking for

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Marine Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in: Shorebase or hub operations, Oil & Gas warehousing
• Experience handling Oil & Gas logistics is mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Hands‑on experience in warehousing or yard operations, particularly in O&G environments
• Strong command of logistics systems
• Solid understanding of cargo documentation, hub processes, and material handling workflow
