The incumbent works closely with the Sales Manager in managing the Medical channel.
Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing input to medical sales plans based on experience and implementing action plans to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories.
- Tracking self/team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans, and prioritizing and reviewing daily sales activities performed.
- Calling/visiting existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, gain demonstrations and quotation opportunities.
- Conducting product demonstrations and emphasizing saleable features/customer benefits.
- Preparing quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms in accordance with company policies.
- Reporting on the activities and products of the competitors.
- Recording sales data for reporting and tracking purposes, and maintaining relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases.
- Executing continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. to improve sales targets.
- Maintaining a customer complaints/issues log and following up on customer issues.
- Responding to customer orders and queries, and informing current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products.
- Working with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products/systems.
- Supporting internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers.
Requirements:
- Demonstrating basic knowledge and understanding of the industry/market/competitors/customers/products/services and selling skills.
- Possessing basic knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, warranties, etc.
- Willingness to travel outstation and cover more than one area.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrating proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Qualifications:
Degree or professional qualification in a Science- or Medical-related discipline with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
