Ideal candidates should have 5–10 years of experience in beauty product development and excellent analytical and presentation skills. Responsibilities include tracking trends, creating product briefs, and presenting to executive teams. Fluent English is a must. Join us to shape the future of beauty products and make an impactful contribution.
We are looking for a Product Development Manager who is deeply plugged into beauty market trends, analytically sharp, and able to influence strategic direction at the leadership level. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands the science of product development but also thinks commercially, identifies whitespace opportunities, and confidently presents data-backed product strategies to the Board of Directors.
Continuously track global and local beauty trends, consumer behaviours, category shifts, and competitor launches across K-beauty, J-beauty, US, and SEA markets.
Conduct deep-dive category analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging hero ingredients.
Build quarterly Market Intelligence Reports to guide senior leadership on innovation direction.
Use data (market size, growth rate, sell-through, CAC & demand forecasting, customer feedback, product rating reviews) to shape the pipeline.
Translate analytics into clear, insightful recommendations for new SKUs, reformulations, or line extensions.
Partner with BI/Analytics teams to validate product performance pre- and post-launch.
Create precise product briefs with benchmarks, target sensory profile, price-to-value positioning, claims, and cost structure.
Work closely with R&D labs, OEM/ODM, packaging suppliers, and QC/QA to ensure delivery excellence, safety, and compliance.
Work closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Supply Chain, Finance & Creative to ensure product feasibility and strong go-to-market plans.
Manage critical paths, maintain development calendars, and ensure all milestones (samples, artwork, testing, pre-production) are met.
Own the annual product calendar and innovation pipeline — including planning, prioritisation, and capacity alignment with internal teams and OEMs.
Prepare high-impact presentations for the C-Level / BOD, covering market opportunity sizing, category gaps, benchmarking, financial ROI of proposed launches, and risk assessment & mitigation.
Present product concepts confidently and persuasively, using data, visuals, and story-driven decks.
Lead, manage, and develop the Product Development team, ensuring clear KPIs, structured workflows, and strong execution discipline.
Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and capability-building to strengthen technical and analytical skills within the team.
Ensure resources are allocated effectively to deliver the product roadmap.
5–10 years experience in product development within beauty, especially skincare, makeup, or hybrid categories.
Strong understanding of global beauty ecosystems and ability to recognise early-stage trends.
Excellent analytical abilities — able to interpret trends, consumer research, sales numbers, reviews, lab data, and translate them into strategy.
Outstanding presentation & storytelling skills (must be able to present to C-level).
Strong vendor management — OEM/ODM experience is essential.
Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or relevant fields preferred.
Highly organised, structured, and comfortable managing multiple timelines.
Fluent in English — written and verbal.
