Job summary

A leading global engineering company is seeking an experienced engineer to design and optimize processes for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering and a minimum of 15 years of experience. Responsibilities include using simulation software, conducting hazard analyses, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role is based in Kota Bandung, Indonesia.

Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize processes related to the project, ensuring that they are efficient, cost-effective, and meet technical and safety standards.
  • Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and specify equipment and materials required for the process
  • Use process simulation software to model, analyse, and predict process behavior, helping to identify improvements or potential issues before implementation.
  • Ensure that the simulation results align with the project’s requirements and provide valuable insights for decision making.
  • Ensure that all processes are designed, implemented, and operated in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct hazard analysis (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA) to identify and mitigate risks associated with process systems and propose safety improvements.
  • Provide technical support during the operation phase by troubleshooting process-related issues, analysing causes of deviations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work with other specialists to resolve operational problems that may arise during commissioning, startup, and ongoing operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of process systems to ensure they are operating at optimal levels.
  • Prepare reports on process performance, identifying areas for improvement, recommending changes, and tracking key performance indicators throughout the project lifecycle
