The candidate will be responsible for managing production planning and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 8–12 years of relevant experience are essential. This role involves cross-functional leadership and the use of ERP systems to enhance productivity. Competitive salary and extensive benefits package offered.
Operational Management & Production Oversight
Responsible for processing Sales Order Confirmations (S.O.Cs) from Sales/Internal Sales, i.e., raising work orders to manufacture required items. Develop, implement, and manage a cross-functional, fully integrated planning process covering capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, stores, materials, and associated cost elements. Obtain and monitor information regarding stock levels for raw materials, finished components, and ancillary products. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase operational efficiency. Review current capacity bookings for live jobs and provide accurate expected delivery dates. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop the most economical production strategy that supports customer demand. Utilize the Glovia ERP/MRP system to review stock levels and the scheduling system to identify manufacturing opportunities and align completion dates with available capacity. Develop and track KPIs to measure team performance and ensure operational targets are achieved. Establish and implement best practice methods for systems and processes related to inventory, purchasing, and material control. Liaise with Customers/Subcontractors when internal capacity constraints occur.
Dealing with SOCs:
Create and maintain accurate routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Verify material delivery dates for ordered items and material availability for stocked items. Coordinate within the Planning Department to arrange shop orders for all top-line part numbers and associated shop floor documentation. Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Machining, and Assembly departments to ensure continuous improvement of on-time delivery by monitoring schedules and proactively addressing issues. Monitor in-progress production daily using the scheduling system and adjust plans accordingly, reporting any delays (e.g., material delivery failures) to Sales. Liaise daily with Machine Shop, Welding, and Materials Supervisors to confirm production readiness, and with QA and Engineering for inspection criteria and drawings. Close out shop orders upon completion; conduct weekly shop order closeouts and verify status of ongoing jobs. Anticipate known delays and adjust schedules to mitigate production impact. Monitor and manage on-hold connectors, assessing potential scrap and related production impact.
Leadership & Development
Lead, manage, and motivate direct reports, addressing performance, disciplinary, or grievance matters where necessary. Continually seek to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. Serve as a positive leadership role model consistent with the Company’s Values, Vision, and Mission Statements. Drive cross-functional initiatives contributing to long-term operational excellence.
Targets & KPI Achievement

Quality Assurance (QA)
Ensure all QA and departmental procedures are fully implemented and adhered to, maintaining compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and Oil States Industries Quality Policies. Support internal and external audits, drive corrective actions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement across planning and production functions.
