Job description

Strategically located at the intersection of the districts of Purwakarta, Subang, and Karawang, Siloam Hospitals Purwakarta’s mission is to become the healthcare provider of choice delivering quality and cost‑effective healthcare services with care and compassion to the people in the surrounding area. This 169‑bed hospital provides a wide range of healthcare services including emergency medicine, general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatrics and other specialists. Siloam Hospitals Purwakarta also provides medical check‑up, endoscopy procedures, and haemodialysis treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Support pharmaceutical services by receiving prescriptions, compounding and preparing medicines, and distributing medicines in outpatient and inpatient pharmacy services to meet patient drug needs in accordance with hospital service and quality standards.
  • Serve patients in the pharmacy inpatient unit: data entry, counting, verifying prescriptions, and confirming name/type of alternative drugs if necessary.
  • Carry out drug preparation and compounding: check prescription contents, calculate doses, mix, package, and write/print labels according to established pharmaceutical standards and procedures.
  • Double‑check prescription copies and invoices against doctor’s original prescriptions before handing over to the treatment room or patients.
  • Hand over medication to doctors or patients, ensuring the completeness and suitability of patient data and providing information on usage, storage, and effects of medications.
  • Check, store, and record goods received from and shipped to the pharmacy warehouse (inpatient and outpatient units) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct periodic checks of medicines and medical devices to determine inventory suitability and appropriateness.
  • Ensure completeness and neatness of daily recipes before filing.
  • Check and sign manual drug request forms to the central pharmacy warehouse.
  • Collect required data and prepare operational reports for accountability to superiors.
  • Implement procedures and practices for quality and safety services, including attending training and submitting reports to support hospital‑wide indicators and department/unit targets.
  • Provide pharmaceutical services in the Corporate Insurance/Company Guarantee section, confirming prescriptions, entering transactions, sending prescriptions to the pharmacy outpatient unit, and directing patients to pick up medication.
  • Handle complaints from patients, doctors, nurses, or other departments regarding inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out procedures and processes for providing services in both pharmaceutical inpatient and outpatient units, addressing operational obstacles and escalating as needed.
  • Ensure completeness of data and monthly reports for the pharmacy inpatient unit: reports of services and drugs nearing expiry, stock and price reports, data quality objectives, narcotic and psychotropic drug stock reports, drug return reports, and actual purchases of Cito pharmaceutical medicines.
  • Monitor procurement and use of medicines and general equipment, as well as cleanliness, procurement, use, and maintenance of equipment in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy units.
  • Socialize and educate pharmacy workers on new medicines and those nearing expiry, and provide drug information services to all relevant departments.
  • Monitor refrigerator temperature, room temperature, and humidity to optimize drug storage and management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Vocational High School Graduate from Pharmacy (high school graduate from Pharmacy is also acceptable).
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD or equivalent).
  • At least 1 year of work experience in the same field.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy technology, including automated dispensing systems and electronic health records.
  • High attention to detail for accurate medication preparation and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, such as handling prescriptions and maintaining inventory.
