Job summary

A leading garment manufacturer in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in pattern making and technical design, with strong skills in using CAD software. Responsibilities include determining pattern corrections for fit and creating sample specifications. Candidates must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with design and production teams.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Determines corrections to achieve fit by manipulating pattern or flat technical sketches
• Creates initial sample specifications from design sketch. Establish close partnership with Design to facilitate the interpretation of design concepts
• Meet weekly with Development Team regarding the sample approval status to maintain company time/action calendars
• Ensure all specs are correctly graded prior to production
• Directs execution of fit from development through production
• Interfaces with Design to ensure fit, balance and aesthetics throughout the pre‑production process
• Identifies opportunities for more effective ways to construct product

Requirements

• Can use Program of Computer Aided Design by Optitex edition 21
• Must have extensive knowledge of pattern making, pattern grading, marker making, calculating of fabric and QC in garment industry
• Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical design/pattern making
• Ability to analyze workload and plan accordingly
• Must be deadline driven and detail oriented
• Must be able to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
• Must be proactive with a solution/result oriented attitude
• Must have excellent communication and follow‑through skills
• Must have great sewing skills and be able to create garment samples
