Operations Manager - Foundry & Metallurgy
Our client, a leader in the metallurgical process technology industry, is currently looking for an Operation Manager with strong chemical background. Details as below.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and processes to drive organizational efficiency and productivity.
- Manage budgets, resources (including raw materials and labour), and procurement to control costs and maintain financial health.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of high performance.
- Ensure products and services meet quality standards and that all operations comply with company policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial data to identify areas for improvement and monitor operational success.
- Investigate and analyse workflows to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.
- Coordinate with other departments and senior management to align operations with strategic goals.
- Find ways to increase the quality of customer service and effectively resolve any customer issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant engineering/technical fields.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in operations, production, or process management within chemical manufacturing or related industries.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proven experience in safety management and ensuring compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.
- Solid knowledge of budget management, resource planning, and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
