Operations Manager - Foundry & Metallurgy

Our client, a leader in the metallurgical process technology industry, is currently looking for an Operation Manager with strong chemical background. Details as below.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and processes to drive organizational efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage budgets, resources (including raw materials and labour), and procurement to control costs and maintain financial health.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of high performance.
  • Ensure products and services meet quality standards and that all operations comply with company policies, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial data to identify areas for improvement and monitor operational success.
  • Investigate and analyse workflows to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity.
  • Coordinate with other departments and senior management to align operations with strategic goals.
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service and effectively resolve any customer issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant engineering/technical fields.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in operations, production, or process management within chemical manufacturing or related industries.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Proven experience in safety management and ensuring compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.
  • Solid knowledge of budget management, resource planning, and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
