Job summary

A leading coal mining company is seeking a Mining Technical Operation Manager in North Kalimantan. The ideal candidate will be the highest technical authority at the mining site, ensuring compliance with regulations and overseeing all mining operations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geological Engineering, at least 15 years of experience, including 5 years as a Summit, and hands-on experience in mining operations and SHE systems. Mining Technical Operation Manager (KTT)

Our client is a leading multinational coal mining company primarily involved in coal mining operations in Kalimantan.

Role Summary

This role is the highest technical authority at the mining site, responsible for ensuring that all mining activities are carried out in full compliance with Indonesian mining laws, Good Mining Engineering Practices, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce the company's internal regulations regarding the application of good mining engineering principles;
  • Appoint operational supervisors and technical supervisors;
  • Certify the PJO;
  • Evaluate the performance of PJO;
  • Ensure that all mining service companies operating under it fulfill their obligations in accordance with statutory provisions;
  • Apply standards in accordance with statutory provisions;
  • Submit a report on mining services activities to the Head of IT in accordance with the provisions of the legislation;
  • Have competent mining technical personnel in accordance with statutory provisions;
  • Carry out risk management in every business process and sub‑process of mining activities;
  • Implementing a mining safety management system and supervising the implementation of a mining safety management system implemented by mining service companies working in their areas of responsibility;
  • Report on the application of good mining engineering principles to the Head of IT, either periodic, final, and/or special reports in accordance with the provisions of the legislation;
  • Report the implementation of environmental management and monitoring activities periodically in accordance with the established form;
  • Report the amount of procurement, use, storage, and inventory of hazardous and toxic materials and waste periodically every 6 (six) months;
  • Report any symptoms that have the potential to cause environmental pollution and/or damage;
  • Submit environmental case reports no later than 1 x 24 (one time twenty four) hours after the occurrence of environmental cases along with efforts to overcome them;
  • Deliver early notification and report accidents, dangerous events, occurrences due to labor diseases, and occupational diseases;
  • Submit an internal audit report on the implementation of the mineral and coal mining safety management system;
  • Stipulate standard procedures for overcoming environmental pollution and/or damage in places that have the potential to cause environmental damage and pollution;
  • Establish standard procedures for the application of good mining engineering principles;
  • Carry out conservation of mineral and coal resources; and
  • The Summit stipulates standard procedures for technical management of mineral and coal mining activities

Requirements

  • Minimum education Bachelor (S1) Mining Engineering/Geological Engineering from reputable university
  • Minimum 15 years of work experience, and 5 years as a Summit
  • Having POU certificate is preferred / POM.
  • Hands‑on experience in Mining Operations and SHE Systems in mining industry
  • Have experience in mining operations.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the latest mining laws and regulations.
  • Willing to be placed in North Kalimantan Region, Bunyu Island
  • Have work ethic and integrity
  • Able to adapt and work together.
  • Have good communication and presentation skills.
