Job description

At Eco Mantra, we design systems that shape how buildings breathe, cool, conserve, and endure. We work on high-performance hotels, resorts, and environmentally driven developments across Indonesia and globally. If you are an MEP Engineer who wants to go beyond industry standards and contribute to meaningful work, this role is for you.

About Eco Mantra

Eco Mantra is a Bali-based Environmental Engineering and Environmentally Sustainable Design consultancy. For almost a decade, we have been trusted by clients to deliver buildings that perform better, consume less, and age sustainably. We do not design for trends. We design for the future.

Your Role

As a MEP Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering technically sound, environmentally responsible, and commercially viable MEP systems. You will gain responsibility, autonomy, and exposure to complex projects. Your work will include:

  • Leading MEP design development from concept through construction.
  • Translating sustainability frameworks into engineering solutions.
  • Coordinating with architects, clients, consultants, and contractors across project stages.
  • Providing technical leadership to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Reviewing drawings, calculations, BOQs, and specifications with precision.
  • Supporting site execution and solving implementation challenges.
What we look for

We are not looking for someone who can only follow drawings. We are looking for engineers who can think critically and improve systems. You are likely a strong fit if you:

  • Have 5 years of MEP experience in building projects. Hospitality building experience is a major advantage.
  • Have strong expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing systems. Multi-disciplinary capability is a plus.
  • Are fluent in AutoCAD and experienced with construction documentation.
  • Have site experience and understand construction constraints.
  • Can communicate well in English, both written and spoken.
  • Care about sustainability as a design responsibility, not a marketing phrase.

If you are capable, driven, and eager to grow, we value that more than formality.

What will you get
  • Competitive salary at senior level
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Flexible working arrangements, including WFH quota
  • Paid leave provisions (and it's generous!)
  • Exposure to large-scale sustainability projects
  • A driven and collaborative engineering team
  • Relocation incentives for candidates outside Bali
  • We put a high regard for Work-Life Balance as part of our company culture.
Why this role matters

The built environment quietly shapes how people live, work, and recover. Your work here will influence comfort, resource efficiency, and long-term performance of hotels, resorts, and workplaces. You will not only design systems that work, but systems that respect their environment and the people who rely on them.

If you believe engineering should improve more than just numbers on a drawing, you will fit here.
