Job summary

A leading engineering and service company in Indonesia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Mechanical & Piping for EPC projects. The candidate will perform mechanical design, develop criteria, and oversee site operations. Ideal applicants have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of related experience, particularly in water treatment projects. The position requires readiness to travel for on-site supervision and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in Mechanical & Piping for EPC projects.
• Experience as an EPC company specialist for WTP and WWTP is an advantage.
• Knowledge of piping materials and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical & piping engineering/design including piping calculations.
• Develop design criteria and review/issue construction drawings.
• Provide technical review for layout to ensure proper equipment arrangement.
• Prepare BOM, material take-off, and costing documents.
• Prepare ITP for mechanical quality control.

Qualifications

• Has at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Has minimum 3 years of work experience doing Mechanical & Piping for the EPC Project.
• Has experience as an EPC company specialist for WTP and WWTP will be an advantage.
• Familiar with Piping Specification and Piping Procedures.
• Willing to operate on site and travel for supervision and pre-commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical & piping engineering/design, including piping calculations and preparation of tender documents.
• Develop mechanical & piping design criteria and review/issue basic–detail–construction drawings (P&ID, isometric, GA, support).
• Review P&ID/flow sheet to define equipment specifications, utilities, and accessories.
• Select mechanical equipment according to design criteria and applicable standards.
• Provide technical review for layout to ensure proper equipment arrangement, safety, and accessibility.
• Prepare BOM, material take-off, and costing documents.
• Prepare ITP for mechanical quality control and provide guidelines for testing & commissioning.
• Have knowledge of piping materials, valve specs, tanks, skids; familiarity with pumps, blowers, dosing systems, pressure vessels, and UF/NF/RO membrane systems is an advantage.
