Job description

The Iterative Collective is a multi-award-winning Indie Game Publisher & Collective of Game Studios.

We’re currently setting up a new Cafe + Co-working + Event Space in Jakarta, designed specifically for game developers and creatives. This space is meant to be a home base for builders: a place to work, collaborate, playtest, host events, and grow the local game development ecosystem.

Role Description

We’re looking for a Marketing & Community Manager to plan and execute marketing campaigns that drive awareness, foot traffic, and memberships for our cafe and co-working space.

You’ll work closely with our in-house Creative Lead, who owns branding and visual direction. Your role is to turn that brand into clear marketing plans, campaigns, and on-the-ground execution — from launches and promotions to events and partnerships.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution, is comfortable working in physical spaces (not just online), and understands how to market to builders, creators, and game developers.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and own the marketing calendar, including monthly campaigns, promotions, launches, and events.
  • Translate brand direction into actionable marketing plans with clear goals (foot traffic, bookings, memberships).
  • Execute campaigns across social media, email, partnerships, and in‑space touchpoints.
  • Coordinate closely with the Creative Lead on campaign assets and content needs.
  • Manage listings, reviews, and basic local SEO (e.g. Google Maps).
  • Plan and support community events such as meetups, workshops, game jams, demo nights, and launches.
  • Build partnerships with studios, schools, brands, and local communities.
  • Track performance and report on what’s working (reach, engagement, visits, conversions).
  • Work with cafe and space operations to ensure campaigns and events are executed smoothly on‑site.
Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in marketing, growth, or community roles (hospitality, lifestyle, coworking, or creative industries preferred).
  • Experience planning and running marketing campaigns end‑to‑end.
  • Strong understanding of social media, community‑driven marketing, and local promotions.
  • Comfortable coordinating with creatives, operators, and external partners.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to execute independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in both English and Indonesian.
Nice to Have
  • Interest in video games as a hobby, or experience working with game developers, studios, esports, or gaming‑adjacent communities.
  • Experience running events or managing physical community spaces.
  • Familiarity with Discord, email tools, paid social, and/or lightweight analytics.
  • Existing network in startup, creative, or game development communities.
