A leading pulp and paper company in South Sumatera is seeking an experienced manager for the pulp dryer department. The role involves ensuring efficient operations, leading team activities, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in pulp dryer installations and be familiar with commissioning processes. A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields is required, along with strong leadership and troubleshooting skills.
To ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all areas/sections in the pulp dryer department (DCS, Baling line area, cutter and dryer area, wet end area, tank area and auxiliary).
Ensure that product meets the quality, specification and parameter while maintaining required production target.
Responsible, lead and direct the team during startup and shutdown.
Responsible, lead and direct the team in trouble shooting in process plant in all areas.
Supervise, coordinate, lead and direct the team members to conduct routine field checks on all machines and equipment in their respective areas/plant.
Do necessary action according to procedure for all machines and process parameter abnormalities that may affect production, quantity and quality.
Continue improvement for achieving production.
Follow, review and update SOP and WI as required.
Report parameters of machine per hour, and production per shift.
Write summary of report and maintain record of operation.
Lead and direct subordinates to protect the environment by preventing pulp spillage, overflow pulp, water, etc.
Lead and direct subordinates in maintaining required safety standards for all respective areas/sections in the pulp dryer department.
Responsible for ISO 9001 & 14001 and OHSAS 18001-2007 program development and implementation.
Part of the Environmental Management Committee, responsible for managing and controlling wastewater in the PDM area.
Ensure and follow overall training schedule and implementation for all subordinates.
Participate in any training programs required for the job.
Responsible for searching substitution absences of team members.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Pulp & Paper, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
At least 10 year(s) of hands‑on experience in pulp dryer project installation, erection work from a similar industry.
Familiar with pulp dryer installation sequence, commissioning, testing, start‑up until final production stage is a plus.
Preferably a Manager Lead specializing in pulp manufacturing/production operations or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques, knowledge of raw materials and of quality systems and standards.
This position will be based at South Sumatera.
