Job summary

A leading resource company in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Legal Specialist to support corporate actions like M&A and joint ventures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Law and 8-10 years of relevant experience, with expertise in corporate law and compliance regulations. Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and finalize legal documents for assigned corporate action projects (M&A, joint venture, financing, restructuring).
  • Maintain and update compliance registers and prepare periodic monitoring reports.
  • Manage timely and accurate submission of regulatory and industry reports.
  • Monitor subsidiary governance, including corporate documents, licenses, and reporting obligations.
  • Identify, assess, and track legal and compliance risks, ensuring mitigation actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the development or enhancement of the division’s Business Process Mapping (BPM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Qualifications
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Law (SH) with 8–10 years of relevant experience in corporate legal, compliance, or regulatory roles.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting corporate transactions and group/subsidiary structures, including preparation of transaction frameworks and timelines and commitment to follow agreed schedules.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities, and effectively collaborate within a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Preferred: relevant master’s degree, valid and registered Advocate License, and/or proficiency in Chinese for professional or active verbal communication.
