About the role

This role is responsible to provide Health & Safety functional support to Sites towards achieving; the safety objective of “Everyone Safe Everyday”, compliance with the company policy and procedures, and to meet legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Represent the company in government or industry safety groups and programs
  • Responsible to facilitate the health and safety of employees through education, training and demonstration of the right behaviours
  • Manage relationship with Projects and their subcontractors to facilitate compliance to Thiess safety systems
  • Direct, instruct and mentor project staff to ensure that Synergy database is utilised, accurate, and up to date
  • Ensure KPI’s are reported monthly and take action to address areas of non-achievement of KPI’s
About you
  • Tertiary-level qualifications in a safety, engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a same role (in Client relations, Subcontract management, Project management)
  • Good time management
  • Good written & oral communications and presentation formatting skills
