Develop and implement a cohesive public affairs strategy aligned with Novartis’ corporate objectives across all divisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders including government bodies, payors, trade associations, and patient groups.
- Identify and prioritize policy areas for external engagement and lead the execution of advocacy plans.
- Represent Novartis in trade and industry associations, contributing to policy discussions that shape a favorable healthcare environment.
- Proactively mitigate regulatory risks through direct engagement or in collaboration with industry groups.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Country President, aligning public affairs priorities with national healthcare agendas.
- Lead the Country Public Affairs Council to coordinate cross-divisional initiatives and ensure consistent messaging.
- Translate policy and regulatory developments into actionable insights and advocacy positions for Novartis.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and corporate standards, fostering a culture of integrity and inclusion.
- Communicate effectively within the organization to align public affairs efforts with business goals.
Work Experience:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Policy, Business, Biosciences, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in public affairs, public policy, or a related field, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Proven experience engaging with government stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and trade associations.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at senior levels.
- Background in government service or experience working with ministries, embassies, or public institutions.
- High level of self-motivation and critical thinking with a proactive approach to driving the public affairs agenda.
